JAMB Subject Combination for Sociology

Welcome to Hqwords. On this page, I will tell you more about the JAMB subject combination for Sociology, and the right approach to prepare for the forthcoming UTME.

Sociology and Anthropology is one of the social science courses you need to study at in university in Nigeria. Most UTME applicants find it difficult to identify the required JAMB subject combination for the course so they do make mistakes.

It is because of this that I decided to write out the Jamb subject combination and the O’level requirements for the said course to avoid further challenges.

JAMB Subject Combination for Sociology

The subject combination for Sociology is the Use of English and any three Social Science or Arts subjects.

The WAEC subject requirements have not changed. It is still five SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, History/Government/Economics one Science subject and any Arts or Social Science subject.

JAMB Required Score

The minimum JAMB score for Sociology in the University is 180.

However, the actual cut-off mark may vary depending on the school, so target 200 and above to stand a better chance of gaining admission into any university in Nigeria.

Direct Entry Requirements

Two ‘A’ level passes including Government or History.

Note: Requirements depend on schools, but what is provided here is the basic information (just as for every other course) shared by JAMB itself.

What have you learned from this page? Are there items or information you had wanted me to include but I didn’t?

Whatever the case may be, kindly drop me a comment in the section below.
