In this blog post, I have compiled an aggregate of Arts courses in Nigerian universities.
Some of the art courses in this post are slightly modified by foreign universities to reflect the culture and needs of the labor market.
Structure of Faculty of Arts
The number of courses in the Faculty of Arts changes from university to university. Sometimes from country to country.
For instance, the Faculty of Arts in the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria comprises Departments of Fine and Applied Arts, Mass Communication, Linguistics and African Studies, English and Literature, Foreign Languages, History and International Studies, and Philosophy and Religions.
In some universities, there are modifications to what they call some of these departments. For instance, History and International Studies is known as International Relations and Diplomacy in some institutions.
Despite the slight in the name of the course, they mostly have the same aims and objectives and similar course outlines.
