With You This Valentine’s Day to Share

by Chinyere Nwosu

What would this day look like?
A beautiful time to share,
So, here at the mall, I smirk
at the gift and just stare,
Then, I turn my head
and sway my hair from side to side
with my phone in place for a selfie instead.
Never mind, I did buy the gift but hide
the theme thereof from thee,
I’ll like to see your face
when the wrapper falls and the piece you see.
Oh! just know my love for you is the case;
And neither this Valentine’s Day will pass
nor many other blessed days to come;
I’ll shower you with love floating around you like gas
We will dance to our song, the tune to which I hum.
