A lot of mental conditions such as schizophrenia, drug-related psychosis and mood disorders can cause psychosis. Although the symptoms can be completely eliminated, ignoring symptoms like delusions, hallucinations, and muddled thinking can be detrimental to the healing process.

Schizophrenia

Disruptions in thoughts and feelings are part of a complicated psychotic illness called schizophrenia. Other known symptoms of schizophrenia are, social disengagement, a lack of desire, delusions, hallucinations, mental disorders and cognitive and memory impairment. However, note that split personalities have no place with schizophrenia.
