1. Good Good Father – Chris Tomlin

Good Good Father is a song with a catchy tune and a great title, and it is played in churches worldwide.

It was certified platinum based on sales and streaming figures after being released as a single.

2. 10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord) – Matt Redman

10,000 Reasons, co-written initially by Matt Redman and Jonas Myrin, is based on Psalm 103:1-5 and briefly describes five reasons why we should praise and worship God every morning and evening until the day we die. The number “10,000” is obviously exaggerated for dramatic effect.

There is one explicit reference to Jesus at the end of the song, which could be interpreted as an afterthought; however, so much content directly points to God that explicit mention is unnecessary for clear communication.

His holiness, lovingkindness, slowness to anger, great name, kind heart, and goodness are among them (because only God is good [Mark 10:18 and Luke 18:9]).

The addition of “Jesus” at the end adds icing to an already lovely and delicious cake. He is rightfully the object of our worship.

3. Forever – Kari Jobe

In “Forever”, Jobe describes Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection in vivid detail. He is eternally praised and glorified, and he lives forever. Short, straightforward, and to the point. That’s exactly how I like it!

The conclusion of verse 2 contains an unbiblical notion that Jesus’ work on the cross was not completed, and that He had more work to do while dead.

4. Reckless Love – Cory Asbury

Reckless Love clearly emphasizes that God’s love is abundant, overflowing, limitless, and never cautious.

5. Good Grace – Hillsong UNITED

The song It is a combination of encouraging chant and a lengthy benediction for believers, in which we are asked to do several things:

  • As the body of Christ, come together in unity.
  • Rather than being afraid of evil, consider Christ’s love for us as demonstrated by His sacrifice.
  • Cleanse ourselves with His atoning blood.
  • Praise God with pure hands and hearts.

6. Hosanna – Hillsong Worship

In this song, Hillsong describes their vision for Christianity and the world’s future. Among the elements are:

  • Forgiveness is given to believers who choose to accept it.
  • Unbelievers face death and destruction.
  • A vast congregation that worships God in perpetuity
  • A new generation of selfless believers in God, led by our example of obedience

Hillsong bows before God and prays for a revival, for a large number of people to come to Christ and obey Him. They want spiritual healing, for their eyes to be opened, for God to teach them to love others as He did, to despise evil, and to live completely for Christ.

Hillsong anticipates the day when they will enter eternity, abandoning their mortal body and joining the foreseen heavenly procession.

7. All Hail King Jesus – Jeremy Riddle

The song tells the entire Gospel story, from Jesus laying down His life to His resurrection from death and His resurrection again, the entire story and the beginning of our faith in Him.

8. Jesus at the Center – Israel & New Breed

The song acknowledges that Jesus is the most important being on the planet. He is eternal, Creator, and superior to all other pursuits.

In the song, Israel & New Breed prays for us to surrender to Christ’s ways in every decision we make, knowing that one day, every knee will bow and confess Jesus as Lord.

They also briefly mention (though not in the “official” lyrics) that the name of Jesus brings strength, relief, and redemption.
